About a quart of rendered beef fat from cooking 15 lbs of 80/20 ground beef yesterday. I strained the cooked beef as I went, cooled the liquid overnight in the fridge, carefully pulled the solid fat cap off the gelatinous broth, then rendered the cap on the stove to remove any remaining liquid (so it doesn’t pop at me when I cook with it). Strained the fat through a sieve and coffee filter to remove any remaining food particles … bam! beautiful cooking fat and close to two cups of gelatinous sipping broth. #beef #groundbeef #broth #cookingfats
