The need to count calories literally comes from addictive food inclusion. If the food makes you need to use your central planning to limit it, the food is likely addictive & not satiating Not being able to reconcile this fact may lead you to identify with this struggle “I just can’t help myself” “Leave me alone I know what I’m doing” (when someone you love & supports you comments on your eating habits) “My diet is so unhealthy, I’ll keep going eating this way until Monday” “Ive been so good, I deserve it” This process is called food addiction. Many have been identifying with a distorted relationship to food for years, many their whole lives. After all, we have endured processed food company initiatives for 50+ years It is quite literally an obesity matrix and many need help including doctors like me!
