So this is probably mostly a question for the Docs and there may not be an answer for it. I happen to have a CGM for a couple of weeks and I noticed something odd. My blood glucose is pretty consistently 30 points above the CGM reading, this has been pretty normal for me every time I have one so that’s a hat I expect. What is odd is that my glucose seems to respond to the CGM level. Whenever it falls down into the 50s it will then rise again on its own even though my blood glucose is in the 80s. This is regardless of food consumption. So my question becomes is gluconeogensis actually triggered by tissue levels of glucose and not blood levels? Or am I missing something? Or am I just weird?
