WARNING: Venting ahead. Advance info: I am eating mostly OMAD and carnivore-adjacent. I have a mug of coffee with heavy cream in the morning, eat in the afternoon, and sometimes have a mug of an unsweetened "dessert" tea with a bit of cream in the evening. I occasionally eat a small amount of plants (a few Tbsp of sauerkraut in Reuben roll-ups, a couple Tbsp of pizza sauce to make a pizza casserole, or just small amounts in seasonings), and I eat cheese sometimes. I eat between 800 and 1000 calories a day, have kept my CGM reading below 100 for over a month, and have been in "high therapeutic levels" of ketosis for over a month (according to the Keto-Mojo gadget). I started at 313.5 lbs at the beginning of October, and was at 282.0 lbs a few days ago; I HAVE LOST JUST OVER 30 POUNDS IN FIVE WEEKS. (TMI: I only weigh myself on a day that I have pooped, which is only every 3 or 4 days.) On to the frustration: After church today, everyone who is not me was eating pizza and it smelled great. I smeared a little pizza sauce in the bottom of a small baking dish for flavor, layered in some cheese and pepperoni, and baked it. Fake pizza - like eating the top of the pizza without my husband yelling about me wasting the crust. It was tasty (would have been better with sausage). And then came the questions about why I was eating cheese. He did the same thing about the Swiss cheese on my Reuben roll-ups (he says he doesn't remember ever "discussing" cheese)... and recently criticized my pork rinds as "not carnivore" (!!!)... I told him to stop gate-keeping my food and let me be in charge of my own thing, to which he accused me of attacking him because I felt guilty for eating cheese. No, I was telling him to butt the hell out because he's being an asshole! On the plus side, he doesn't mind me spending money on steaks...
