I had my yearly physical today. I've lost weight since last year. When asked, I told the MD I'm doing a low carb diet. Uh oh. She went into teaching mode, telling me what should be on my 8"plate (a small plate will keep me from overeating, obviously). 25% protein, 25% healthy carb, 50% fruit and veg. Palm size meat, avoid red. Ozempic was offered. I know I should have defended low carb but I don't feel I have the success yet to prove the point. I'm scheduled for next March. I plan to be ready with facts and significant weight loss!
