6x400 track workout followed by a pull-up HIIT workout that started as a 20 pull-up challenge but morphed into 50! Here’s how: First three pull-up intervals netted 7,6, to 5 leaving me 2 shy of 20. So logic follows to wrap up the workout with two more and call it a day👍 except that I managed to do 5 more which put me at 23. Ok, now I’ll do 2 more to get to 25. Well, I don’t know, didn’t want to stop at 2 and did 4, now at 27. NOW we do the big 3 to get to 30. Wouldn’t you know it: 5 more (don’t know what’s happening at this point) to get to 32. OK, seriously now, just 3 more and I’m at 35. Whoa, oops, I did 5 pull-ups again to get to 37. LET’S MAKE IT TO 40🎉. Uhh 5 more (somehow) follows to make it 42. Now, obviously can’t stop now, 50 on the horizon. AND DONE! Moral: in our workouts, look out for these morsels of small incremental change that, all of the sudden, can one day, set in motion a workout with enormous results! Initially, you won’t see the results immediately, but please have faith. It’s the changes in direction towards positive forward movement that will create the excitement which leads to motivation which leads to momentum! Oh, I forgot to mention, I did 51!
