Does anyone sous vide their meats before searing them? I’ve found I end up with tough steaks sometimes (I buy from local farms, mostly grass fed, some grain finished). I’m not skilled yet at selecting meats, so sometimes I waste money and end up with not much to eat, because the meat was so tough I couldn’t eat it. I watched Shawn Bakers steak cooking video and saw he sous videos his steaks. Curious if others have found this does a good job tenderizing your steaks.
