Since restarting on Saturday, my exercise goal has been simple: a little more than the day before. Many years ago I had a Garmin watch that used this premise and it was so motivational to me. It built your daily goal on doing just a little more than yesterday. Then if you fell really low on your exercise or steps, it would start again and each day encourage you to do a little more. That felt so much more achievable to me than shooting for the same number every day and usually missing it by miles.
