Coming back out of the shadow… Hi friends! I’m back after being gone a while. I lost about 150 pounds through a divorce mess and keto (about 80-90 pounds attributed to keto) and then… life got the best of me! Job stress, pandemic isolation, 3 years of working from home, 2 job changes, and moving. Many of you have survived much worse, but over 3 years, I rationalized all kinds of poor food decisions and it crept back on and yes, I’m back almost to my starting place again. I’ve tried a few times and never keep it going very long. I know a key factor from my previous success was the amount of keto info in my life: I listened to podcasts daily, I joined all the online communities I could find (except Facebook) and I joined the Tuesday support groups. I’m going to commit to coming here every day for at least a month and listening to all the podcasts I’ve missed since no longer having a commute. I’m still embarrassed that I’ve let it go so far, but as I learned from Amy E., all I have to do is get on at the next exit. If anyone else is out there feeling bad that they’ve slid backward a little or a lot, this is your sign that it’s ok and we can do it again!
