#ThriveInJuly week4 recap I did OMAD one day this week. Other days I had late breakfast (~noon) and dinner before it was totally dark outside, so that’s a win. For my daily hour of phone-free time (and also stress reduction time), I have been listening to the birds, trying to lure hummingbirds down from the trees to my new toy, a HummyWand. I must aim for more consistent exercise, which means getting up early enough to walk when it’s cool, or going out late enough, but too early or too late means risking a mountain lion encounter. I also have to plan my walks around minimizing my reactive dog’s exposure to triggers. Despite my plans to get a full hike in each week, I have only managed short walks. I do need better sleep, but my husband and I watch one episode of something together each evening. Plus, I have frequent nightmares which mess up my sleep. So, this is an area I need to improve, sleep and I guess stress. One non scale victory. It used to be that I would wear out before the dog, on walks through this mountainous terrain. Now it is the other way around. This despite not getting out enough.
