I’ve eaten low carb for four weeks. I’ve used a test strip and I’m in ketosis. I spoke to my doctor about eating low carb and he is supportive. I asked about an insulin resistance test and he ordered one. Is it a good idea for me to have one this early on? Or, should I wait for awhile? (I see my doctor again in four months) The only thing I will do with this information now is it will help me psychologically know more of what I’m up against physiologically. Will it harm the progress I’ve made so far? Will it create cravings or kick me out of ketosis for a long time?
