#thriveinjuly - Week 3 Food prep checklist done, grocery list done, marathon 15-lbs of ground beef cooking session done and kitchen cleaned up (clocked it as a workout and it was similar stats-wise to the lower-body resistance bands workout I did today 👏). Saved 2lbs of ground beef for making Anna’s Asian Beef Taco Lettuce Cups recipe (EH2 book). Snacking … So awesome that this came up this week! I usually try to be done with my last meal between 3-4 PM Mon-Friday. I’ll get the kitchen back in order and head downstairs to begin my evening routine. Last week, I decided to grab my book and read it upstairs while I was waiting for the dishwasher to finish (I ate dinner already). Sure as sheet … what did I do? I gravitated to the kitchen to fill up my ice water. Grabbed a piece of jerky and a pickle … and a few cubes of cheese. Read. Read. Grabbed a “few” more cubes of cheese and another jerky stick. Read. Read. Another pickle. More cheese. “What are you doing?” … I said it out loud. When I head downstairs after dinner, I don’t snack. Important lesson for me. Was I hungry? Nope. Not even close. My belly was full. My focus this week is more reading and less scrolling before bed … and heading downstairs after dinner. Phone’s auto focus set for 6-9 PM.
