Down to my last few jars of home-canned salsa for omelettes and salad dressing (yup, salad dressing … I am an odd duck sometimes). It is a lot of work to can, but oh so worth it. Thought I would check the grocery store shelves to see if there was anything close to tie me over to later in the season and was kinda shocked. I’ve seen sugar added to store-bought salsa before … but, for the love … we cannot just use garlic without the soybean oil? Off to find the best prices of ingredients for the home-canned recipe. (No sugar, natural flavors, or oil in mine.) Free salsa to anyone who wants to come help process jars! I hear Alaska is beautiful this time of year. 😉
