Good morning! I’m wondering if anyone has information regarding the insulin response of pre-workout powders. I like a little boost before a morning workout, but sometimes black coffee doesn’t sit well with me while exercising on an empty stomach. I read a claim that pre workout supplements that have BCAAs can elicit a large enough insulin response to break a fast. I’ve been doing some extended fasting and I don’t want to break sooner than planned. Dr Tro, can you help with my bro science? Am I over thinking this?
