Still struggling here- Or actually, I need to get real. I’m not struggling at all. I’m giving in to every idiotic food notion that flits through my head. I’m going to find and reread the section in how stress *really* impacts eating. As I recall, Dr Tro’s explanation was the only one that went deep enough to make real sense. My work fridge is empty because I’ve prepped nothing for a few weeks. I did great for two weeks after my car was stolen and my dog was attacked. Then I relaxed from the trauma… a bit too much… and allowed myself a bit of comfort in old habits. Then those old habits just dug in. Another get real moment- it is also my habit to stop eating well- to allow this or that “just once” - as soon as I start to see results. I am aware this is also a trauma thing and have worked on these things for years/ with mostly great results, but the good thing sticks. I’m surprised I’m saying all of this here with people I’ve never met- but it’s been a great group so far! 💕 Does anyone else do this? Over and over?
