Background: Fully fat-adapted, eat carnivore w/occasional fermented vegetables. Sleep/stress/movement all excellent. I am in a 2-4 year stall depending on how you view it. Can do OMAD, TMAD, 36-48 hour fasts. 51 years old. I want to go from 33% body fat to 23%. I don’t care about scale weight. Size is 8-10. Am 5-0 tall. Waist to hip is good. QUESTION: In reference to eating intuitively, I only am truly, truly actually hungry once a day most days. Rarely do I feel that true hunger a second time. I cannot, in one meal or seating, eat enough protein/fat to get what my body requires to turn the excess fat into muscle and burn it off. If I eat once it’s not enough but I don’t get hungry enough to eat again if I eat only when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full. I feel stuck. Do I eat even when I don’t experience actual hunger? It’s more like “Meh, I could eat.” I want my body to know it’s okay to burn the fat I have as I’d like to get to maintenance. This isn’t supposed to be maintenance yet. I’m not done. There is clearly stored fat remaining on my hips, bottom and thighs as well as around my middle and upper back. I love weight training and I can see and feel the muscle and strength. This could all be menopause related but I see so many women my age successfully completing their journey.
