Wanted to share something that helped and continues to help me better understand my habits … the incredible, edible egg. We eat a lot of eggs in our home, so having loads of hardboiled, peeled eggs on-hand is the norm. When I find myself gravitating to the fridge outside of feasting time, I pull out one egg and slice it in half. No fancies on top. Just the egg. I then ask myself two questions and allow myself some reflection time on the answers before proceeding: “Am I having a nutritional event?” (or) “Am I having an emotional event?” If the egg doesn’t sound good, I can say I am probably having an emotional event over a nutritional event and rethink what I am doing. ❤️🥚⏲️ (Instant Pot eggs for the win! They peel so nicely and I can cook 24-30 at a time in the 8 quart.)
