Hi there! First timer here so wanted to share something and I have a question for the community too. A day ago I broke an almost 2O hour no-food fast (did have coffee with creamer that morning) with this amazing meal and it was like heaven. I got the idea from a brunch place near me. They called it a Texas Skillet with breakfast potatoes. I 86’d the potatoes and cubed up some chuck roast, sautéed some onion and bell peppers after the meat was cooked and then lazy girl scrambled/fried some eggs with cheese on top for my hubby and I. He likes scramble and I like fried eggs so I carefully cook all together, keeping a few yolks unbroken. So yummy and it was a reminder to me about how good food tastes when you are truly hungry. Question is: if my blood glucose is rarely under 100 in over 50 pokes at various times of the day with and without food and even after this 20 hour fast, is that a sign of pre-diabetes even thought it never spiked more than 150 and would come back down to 100 or 110 after an hour or two? I know I drink too much coffee, have issues with stress, and the carbs have been creeping back in over the last year or two which is showing on my belly and which is why I started testing blood sugar again. Maybe my monitor is faulty or I broke my blood sugar. Thinking to get a CGM now. I have been successful on very low carb/carnivore since 2019 but after 2020 the carb creep happened. Any thoughts about this?
