I’ve been reflecting lately and I have started journaling almost everyday since the beginning of the year. I got to a point this weekend where I was really down because I haven’t lost any weight lately. I know that I can reach my goals and I stated to dig into “why” I haven’t. I got really honest with myself and I realized that I let the carbs creep in, way more than I care to admit, everyday. I realized I snack sometimes because I’m bored or, I’ll tell myself that I’ll just have 1 bite of my kids ice cream - which is usually more than 1. So for this week, I’m taking it one day at a time and I’m focusing on eating satiating foods and alternatives to fill my sweet tooth, including not drinking diet Mountain Dew. Tonight, I REALLY wanted ice cream and instead I made chocolate cinnamon mousse using heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, cinnamon and a touch of stevia. After a couple of bites, my carving was fulfilled, I felt full and I don’t feel bad. If anyone has tips on keeping carvings at bay or any alternative suggestions, please share! I need all the help I can get!
