My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day yesterday. While he doesn’t prescribe to the same way of eating that I do, I love that he recognizes my low-carb life. (One of his fellow firefighters started carnivore six months ago and has lost 68 lbs, so another win!) We were going to go out to dinner, but our Costco had ribeyes $10 off per package yesterday. Easy decision. Stay home and cook for us and it was delish! For the side salad, I opted for a jalapeño infused vinegar and it was so good … tangy and just a little kick. The asparagus was pan-tossed with beef tallow and bacon crumbles and was perfectly cooked/crunchy. This man’s cooking skills are awesome! He is my rock and will always stop what he is doing to listen to my, “Guess what I learned today?!?” learnings. I appreciate that so much. Steak salad for dinner tonight with the leftover sliced steak.
