When Protein Isolate. I was about to go shopping for the ingredients to make Kristie's Kedough pizza crust (requires 35 grams of whey protein isolate). I often read the comments section on recipes to see what others think and perhaps incorporate recipe "tweaks". The comments section for this recipe had a convo about how whey protein isolate should be avoided as it spikes insulin. So my question is, as a T2, should I avoid whey protein isolate? Is there a suitable alternative?
