#NewMe23 week4 item#5 I cannot read the 7Levers post because it is behind a paywall. I am assuming a lever provides leverage to help with the task at hand, losing weight and staying healthy. Other folks have mentioned 4 of the levers: sleep, exercise, anti-stress, and fasting. Although I try to get 7-8 hrs of sleep every day (I am in bed that long), my stress usually prevents me from doing so. I exercise by walking, which sometimes gives me peace, but at other times stresses me out if I need to walk past other people with my reactive dog, especially if they also have dogs. If I don’t walk the dog, nobody else will. My husband isn’t strong enough to handle him, I am, I guess the dog gives me some sort of resistance exercise too! I have only just started other types of exercise, in response to these challenges. Thinking about all of this is time consuming, and stresses me out, haha. These levers are all related. I need to work on all of them. But I am not really here for myself, I am here for my daughter. She is studying abroad this quarter, and getting a lot of walking in (the photo is hers). It would be great if she would keep it up when she returns. Unfortunately, she is not sticking to keto as I would like her to, the school’s meal plan includes a lot of pasta, pizza, and gelato. Ugh.
