#newme23 W3#3 - Share a low-carb eat out meal and how it went: We traveled from Alaska to Denver, CO for the U18 Curling Nationals this week, so it was hotel life all week. At the Seattle airport, I chose a protein packed, double steak salad from Qdoba, but used the green salsa, avocado, and sour cream as the dressing. It was delish and I did not miss the rice in the bowl. Enjoyed the same bowl on our way back yesterday. I knew exactly where I was eating before I landed and it took a lot of anxiety off my plate. The hotel was located right across the parking lot from the hospital in Lafayette, CO. The free breakfast had a lot of standard breakfast choices (waffles, muffins, bagels, high-carb yogurt, juice, etc.,), but each morning they always had hot protein choices. My favorite choice was the mini omelettes which had bells, onions, and diced ham. I truly appreciated being able to skip the insulin spikers and fuel my body with what it loves. Was pretty proud of myself for sticking to the better options for my body. Perfect? No. Better? Yes. :)
