I’ve been following some form of a low carb diet since May 2018, and it has been a huge help towards improving my health! One thing that I never really REALLY understood (even when Tro told me) is that obesity is not your fault; it’s a hormonally-driven disease caused by a disregulated metabolic system. It is not gluttony and it is not caused by laziness. Why am I even saying this? I’m saying this because I got stuck in my weight loss journey beginning in September of 2019. I stalled. I tried carnivore, Ted Naiman’s PE Diet, high fat carnivore, and I found myself gaining wait… 25 lbs!! I panicked and then I heard about weight loss drugs and messaged Tro for help. Since August 2022, I’ve lost 42lbs and brought my A1C down to 5.0. My chronically very high cholesterol and triglycerides are finally coming down (my triglycerides were high even on carnivore). I guess what I’m saying is that sometime diet and exercise alone may not cure your obesity… they are for sure the cornerstone of healing tho… and sometimes you need a little something more to help.
