#NewMe23 post #1: Intentions. 1.) keep it up. There is not real specificity here because I usually set myself up for failure when I do that (setting lbs per week, or a certain numbers of workouts per week, etc.) I’ve already been on the ball for a month (longer than I’ve consistently stuck to LCHF before) and have gone from 250 to 228. My game plan is to literally just “keep going.” Which leads to intention #2… 2.) Be kind to myself. Not to beat myself up when I fail. Not if, but when. I WILL fall down at some point, because I’m human. The difference is to just stand up and tell myself it’s okay to fall, and keep going. Life will get in the way sometimes. That’s okay. The key is so keep going. 3.) Get my A1C lower than it has ever been. I am type 1, so diabetes is here to stay for me. But I don’t have to let it control me. I’m in control. The lowest I’ve had it (to my recollection) is 5.7 a couple of years ago.
