I am definitely addicted to sugar. Feel deprived actually if I don’t get dessert after dinner. The holidays have undone any progress I made. I was walking 6 - 9 miles a day, trying to eat good. I’d have a couple squares from a Lily bar to satisfy my sweet tooth. Increased my water… then came December. I spent 6 weeks in another state helping my daughter with her 4th baby. Along came the food train with nothing but carbs, pizza , pasta, potatoes. AND chocolate chips cookies daily. The littles wanted hot chocolate with marshmallows every morning. I got home NYE And my fiancé had 2 big juicy steaks with grilled mushrooms waiting for me. I about died it was soo good! My birthday is Saturday and of course there will be cake. How do I even start with fighting the sugar addiction? Go Cold Turkey? How did you do it? How do you deal with friends and family and their traditions of making and giving sugar as a symbol of their love?
