Hi Everyone! It’s my first time posting, so let me introduce myself! My name is Sarah, I’m a mom of 3 babes and 3 years ago tonight I was headed to the hospital to have my “keto” miracle baby! I was diagnosed with PCOS at 17 and was told I would have to use medicine to have kids. I did use medicine to have my first 2 kids at the age of 30 and 33. I was looking to “lose the baby weight” after my second one when a co-worker told me all about this “keto diet” thing that helped her lose 65 pounds and get her off of all of her medicine. I was floored that she didn’t eat apples or bananas 🤷🏼‍♀️ and was healthy! This was the opposite of what I had been taught! I did keto for a month and I learned that if I changed my diet, it would help me get pregnant! Who knew?! No one had ever talked to me about my diet, it was just, take the medicine. The pandemic has been unique for me, I moved from being a teacher, to and assistant principal and I moved my family. I wouldn’t recommend becoming a school administrator during a pandemic, but I did it! I live in Nebraska and thankfully we were face to face all of last school year and so far this year. But, unfortunately the stress of my job has played a toll on me. I stress snack at school and my weight loss has stalled. I’m finally feeling settled and I’m committing to taking care of myself. I’ve realized I can’t support my staff, students and families when I’m drained. I’ve followed Tro, Brian and Amy on Twitter the last couple of years and listened to all the podcasts. I’m so thankful they have developed this community, it’s been a lifesaver for me!! I’m ready to take the “next step” and really dial in on my goals, so that is why I’m posting. Thank you, to all of your for sharing your successes and struggles. It’s nice to know your not alone and that there really is a way to be healthy without doing “moderation” and WW a million times! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Tro, Brian and Amy, thank you again for everything. You are really making a difference, 1 person at a time! I started of 2022 with an egg and sausage egg bake for brunch. We made almond flour chocolate chips cookies for a snack. Tonight is pizza night curiosity of Rosette’s!! Wishing all of you a calm and low-carb 2022😊
