Posting for accountability-sake!! Oh am maybe a little venting!! Sorry! I LOVE my husband!!! We have been married 30 years. In all that time I have done almost all of the cooking for us and our 7 children, all of the “charity baking”, hundreds of cookies and cakes at a time for multiply events a year, 10-12 dozen donuts at a time for rowing regattas a plenty over the last 6 years. That said our last rower has moved on to college and I said I was not going to cook the donuts any more and I am not doing the charity baking any either, ( we will send cooked turkeys instead) as it is too hard to resist all the high carb baked goodies. So my wonderful husband, God bless his heart, felt that our youngest needed to bring fresh home made donuts to her rocketry meeting tomorrow morning. He was sweet enough not to ask me to do it. I knew about it so I made plans to row extra long at the lake tonight hoping to avoid the smell and sight of them. 6000 meters later and he is still frying. I made a quick ice coffee and I am escaping to the shower. Oh, and by the way, you know who is taking our youngest to the rocketry meeting!! Ya me!!! 4 hours with the donuts because the kids cannot eat them when it starts as they will be building rockets complete with fiberglass and solvents and all kind of nasty stuff. No food allowed. Yup!! 😘 God bless my husband!! Please pray for him. I don’t know whether to kiss him or strangle him!! Oh, and we are going to the county fair after the rocketry meeting!! If I make it past the bad stuff I will reward myself with a lamb kabob!!! I can use a prayer or 2 too!! BTW the row at the lake was wonderful!! A beautiful rainbow!! I will take it as a message that it will all be all right!! I am too sore to lift a donut anyway!!!
