Hi you guys or should I say you’ll! Saw my metabolic doctor yesterday in a new location. Took 20 minutes to find it in the health care maze- 2 buildings telling me to go to the other building. What is a metabolic doctor, staff would ask. I was sent to the gastroenterologist- funny. But I missed my appointment. Fortunately there was a no show and Calkins could fit me in. I am to “white knuckle” down for two to three weeks: no artificial sweeteners, no sugar, no Ezekiel tortillas. Of course no grains and starchy vegetables. My addiction is primarily in the sweets and I think artificial sweeteners can stir that addiction up. I tried initially cheese to compensate for the low carbs when I started the ketogenic lifestyle in January. I was told no cheese and now no artificial sweeteners. So I am going to use an app or draw on paper to record this, Exciting news is that we talked about Meet-Ups and we came up with some ideas. Stay tune! This will help me so much. My walking buddy isn’t tolerant of heat therefore I walk with her less and then I walk less.
