Morning Check In: A new CGM is always a bit frustrating. It always seems to take 24 hours to settle down! It’s finally getting there. Yesterday went pretty well, although I ate too much for dinner. I did a number of walks, plus some housecleaning, so got some good activity in which really helps with blood sugar control. Lately my lunch has gotten bigger, which is a problem. Today I plan to have JUST protein for lunch (chicken) and stop after that. I know I will want more. I am saying right now I will not have more. Steak and salad for dinner! Yum! Dog walks today. Did you see the Cholesterol Code yet on Amazon Prime? We watched last night. The premise of the show is to highlight the benefits of a low carb diet as both treatment and prevention of chronic disease, and to begin to address the biggest obstacle in the medical world in accepting this dietary approach as safe: it can make LDL go up in folks who are not overweight. Does that contribute to heart disease??? It appears it does NOT!
