Morning Check In: without fail, for me a new CGM takes 24 hours to calibrate and begin to show a pattern I have come to expect. This one…maybe it’s a dud? Up and down erratically. On the other hand, I ended up eating way too much food yesterday - maybe that’s it? Not much starch, but lots of fat. Also, dinner was really late - 7:30, so I went to bed with a full stomach. When you eat too much fat, more than your body needs, fat cells become insulin resistant, insulin goes up, more fat gets stored and on and on it goes. And eating late is really problematic too. I slept really badly and insomnia is a problem too! So maybe this CGM is accurate and it’s just me. We will see how today pans out! We leave for a week of camping today. This will be a challenge for me, even though I’ve prepared all of our meals. Hubby eats 3 meals a day and does a lot of snacking. In the past on the road I’ve been swayed to eat with him by lust (not for him, for the food! 🙂 ) Today I am going to do my best to keep my lustful thoughts to myself and eat two meals and no snacking. Hopefully some walking today!
