Sunday testimony! Can I get a witness? A few weeks ago I attended service at the church I visited this morning. The pastor and his wife are best friends with one of my daughters and I like to show my support from time to time. Any who, the last time I was there I met this older woman using a cane. A little overweight, and because I have real empathy now for people using a cane, I usually take time to talk to them and tell them my pool story and how it led to my own knee recovery, which is what I did with the lady. I encouraged her to go the Y and get in the warm water and move. This morning I just happened to sit in the same row as her and her husband were sitting in. She slid over to me and asked if I remembered her and what I told her, which of course I did. She told me that the following week after encouraging her, she joined the Y and started attending a water aerobics class on Tuesdays and Fridays. She thanked me profusely for helping her to discover a way to experience relief, noting that she's also dropped 10 lbs, inspired by my own progress. However, even more touching than that, she told me (with tears streaming down her face) that just a couple of days before meeting her, she was aware that in prayer God (her words) was telling her she needed to move her body more, but was unclear on what to do because of the pain in her knee. She said: "Then God sent you!" WOW!
