Morning Check In: Yesterday’s dinner was metabolically friendly, but just before dinner I ate leftover cut vegies from the party the day before, and there were some root vegies in there - carrot, jicama and radish - and eating them gave me a bit of a glucose spike! It was back down to baseline within 2 hours, so likely not enough time to cause glycosalation of cells, but still…. Not something I want to see regularly. I do fine with those very same vegies in a salad and eaten WITH dinner, so I’ll stick to that. Today two meals. No sugar/no starch/lower fat. No set workout, but will get various exercise snacks into my day to avoid prolonged sitting.
