My last OMAD, 24 hr fast was this weekend. I broke the fast not out of hunger ( at least not aware of it), and more out of routine, e.g. the following day is a work day and did not want to be tired from lack of energy. In reality, I seldom get hungry. There are a few times when I have worked out that I eat from hunger, but more from the fear of crashing. Before I started this fast, I had a protein shake with collagen powder, chai seeds, whey, and almond butter after my meal. I think that help sustain energy through out the fast. During the fast I had coffee with almond milk, which I normally do not do while fasting. It was probably 10 gm of calories. An over cast cold Sunday morning, sunlight hazing through the windows, was a perfect time to enjoy the coffee while reading—so I put milk in it and throughly enjoyed it. I know I did some other OMAD’s this past week but this one, I could feel my belly fat lessening and finally lost another pound this week. My weight has been so slowly decreasing, so I think the OMAD at least is the way to reset my metabolic system. Also, I had stayed away from any sweets and chips, which I ate at the beginning of last week. I really enjoy fasting and am glad this course is happening .
