Pool Story Friday. Got back in the pool (no sauna today) this morning and walked, stretched and exercised my muscles for an hour. It felt really good to get back in after missing my daily routine. I watched a short clip of @Amy Eiges last night where she gave some excellent advice! She said something to the effect of it's really pretty basic, eat meat and have some vegetables, if you need a treat, make something keto friendly 😉 This is why Amy Berger has also become one of my favorites in this low-carb space full of hyperbolic extreme "influencers." She provides commonsense in the sea of imbalance, perpetuated myths and outright exaggerated untruth. To that end, I'll tell you about a recent encounter I had in the pool. I was sharing my story with a man. I told that I have success taming my sugar addiction and improving my metabolic health by switching to a low-carb diet. He gave me one of those concerned looks. He told me to watch out because going into to Ketosis leads to Ketoacidosis. WRONG! He also warned me to stay away from spinach and broccoli because they are high in oxalates and are trying to kill me! LOL This is exactly what I mean about the imbalances on both sides of the spectrum. TGIF! Cheers!
