I was at the grocery store check out yesterday and saw these beautifully bright packaged Peeps. I used to love eating these during the Easter season, one package after another in fact. I mean look at how cute and colorful they look. Not only that, they must not be that bad, it says, "always gluten free, fat free" right on the front of the package! Then in my mind's eye, what I really saw was a spoon with liquefied heroin and a syringe needle reminding me of how devastating a sugar addiction really is. What's sad is that those peeps were strategically placed where they were in order to grab the attention of children.
