A practical lesson from my journey thus far. A ketogenic diet can dry out your skin... Of course, that happens to us as we age biologically, but I have noticed it showing up on my shins to my ankles. Especially, since I started pool exercise. . I really paid a small price for not properly preparing myself by applying a layer of protectant on my legs and thoroughly showering off the chlorine from my body after getting out of the pool. The itching on my shins for not doing so was quite irritating. LOL So, I have refrained from the pool for several days while addressing the issue through increased hydration and focusing on adequate electrolytes. I've also started applying a quality fragrance-free moisturizer. The issue has essentially been corrected now. Oh what a relief! 😃
