More good news on my metabolic improvement journey! I've been having my lipid panel and HbA1c tested every 30 days since October 21st. On the lipid side, I am most interested in TG/HDL ratio, and of course the HbA1c trend. All of this is part of my n=1 experiment on keto and the effect it is having on me metabolically. I started testing 3 months after I had already started keto. Although, I wish that I had tested right at the beginning, but it is what it is 😉 So, here's some real numbers from my blood draws, including yesterday. Since October 21, my HbA1c has dropped from 5.7 to 5.3. My TG/HDL Ratio (Key IR Surrogate) has dropped from 2.80 to 2.09 as of yesterday. My TG dropped from 112 to 92 in the last 30 days. That is textbook keto. All of this, including my normal BP rate now, 102lbs down, energy increased, etc all bodes well for me! I'm super encouraged!
