I would love to hear some people’s thoughts about their own use/consumption of diet beverages. I have been low carb for the better part of the last 7 years with this group. I have completely cut diet beverages from my food plan for periods of time throughout these 7 years and then returned to consuming them. I totally understand that they are not a clean eating choice and the research behind all the negatives about them. I don’t like carbonation so my beverage of choice if I’m not drinking water or decaf coffee is Gatorade Zero or Crystal Light. For me, these do not impact my CGM and I find they keep me from craving/seeking other things with calories. I’ve never noticed a positive impact when not consuming them for months at a time.
