Last week I listened to a Diet Doctor podcast with Dr Vera Tarman as a host. She studies food addiction. I’ve been doing more research on addiction in general and have been reading a book by Dr Gabor Mate, MD. A lot of what they both speak about resonates with me. Especially struggling to stay consistent or going into “relapse” after having been on a good eating plan for a while. (E.g, after having eaten low carb for months you crave and go back to high carb) Has anyone in the community thought about food addiction? Has anyone come across good resources? Does anyone know good MDs or therapists that specialize in this area while being advocates of low carb eating? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
