Week 22 is in the rearview mirror. A little voice inside my head keeps reminding me not to look or go back to what put me in such a poor metabolic state in the first place. I stop in the drive-thru at McDonald's a couple times a week for coffee. I always check in on a lady who is in the process of losing a lot of weight. I reminded her (and myself) this morning that this weight-loss and commitment to improve our health race is a marathon, not a 100 yard sprint. Here's to a new week and New Year! Cheers!
