Yesterday I did an experiment on myself. According the "experts" I should be taking in at least 175g of protein a day, based on my ideal weight and height. I find it difficult to reach that level most days because if I don't feel hungry, I don't eat. After 4 plus mos now, I don't like the feeling of being stuffed with food, or feeling pressured to consume more food to reach some ideal macro. I had read that for some individuals, supplementing with whey protein can spike glucose temporarily and at the same time suppress ketone levels for those like me who are now fat-adapted an in ketosis for weeks on end now. So, yesterday after eggs and beef for lunch, I drank 50g of Isopure zero carb whey protein. I waited 2 hours and tested my glucose and ketone levels with the Keto-Mojo. My glucose was 90 and my blood ketone reading was 1.0. Right in the moderate level sweet spot GKI ketosis. n=1 personal experiment completed ๐
