Morning Check In: yesterday went “pretty” well…. At sister’s house there were a LOT of holiday goodies all over the place! I managed to avoid most of them by reminding myself how terrible I would feel, but 4 hershey’s kisses did get by the front gates…. 🙂 Not too much damage done. For lunch everyone got sandwhiches, and I got sliced meat and cheese - success! And then, this was interesting: we went wine tasting and I saw first hand the effect of alcohol on blood sugar! I’m not much of a drinker so I had not really seen it before on myself. The liver stopped keeping my blood sugar normalized as it dealt with the alcohol! So blood sugar dropped below 70! So interesting to see this play out! Eventually the liver was finished with the job of clearing the “poison” and got back to keep my blood sugar normalized!
