We’ve all heard this phrase -“If at first, you don’t succeed try try again.” Well my weight loss journey is definitely a testament to that, but it is also so much more. Thanks to this wonderful community of people like Dr. Tro , Dr. Laura, Tia, Brian, and Vic, I have been much more successful in my weight loss journey. I feel so connected to all of you here. In all of your trials, tribulations, & triumphs. We learned from each other and we offer advice. What could be better than that? Dr. Tro’s message on Thanksgiving morning really kept me on track. I’m happy to report. I did not gain or lose any weight over the Thanksgiving holiday. I am proud because in many years past I would’ve put on 5 to 10 pounds on that day. Can anyone relate? Well, I just wanted to end by circling back to the original … if at first, you don’t succeed try try again. It can be used in so many facets of life and I use it on Thanksgiving day I tried making a new biscuit recipe and I made homemade s/f cranberry sauce and I decided to combine the two and make a stuffed cranberry sauce, keto buttermilk biscuits. They didn’t turn out so pretty, but they tasted delicious! A lot of people I know would’ve thrown the batch away, but not me!! I decided they were salvageable, and I took a cookie cutter and made them look pretty and the ones that didn’t have a topping, I turned into cranberry cream cheese, danishes. I must say it again- If at first you don’t succeed, try try again. It’s a wonderful phrase, but now I’m hoping the phrase will be more like this - If at first you don’t succeed keep on trying and make it to the finish line! You can do it, and I can do it too, after all isn’t that what we’re doing here? Trying to make it to the finish line and regain our health? Have a great day and try to make it through the rest of the weekend staying on track. With gratitude, Amy
