Low carb journey to wellness; female: Still having a cycle, I'm in the easiest part of that four weeks. I've begun to recognize that I am more vulnerable to binge-ing close to the end of the cycle, or what we call PMS. Right now I have such high motivation to eat the best of foods, not just "keto macros" spun together impulsively. For example: I'm truly enjoying eggs instead of "stand at the fridge cheese", meat instead of greek yogurt (which iteratively becomes 3 helpings with some peanut butter), a T or two of cold butter by itself instead of some almonds that turns into 3-4 oz, and patience to cook up some kale or enjoy the broccolli that my body tolerates just fine. The last two months at this prime time of the cycle, I do not have erratic "meal" timing that ignores the family meal (i.e. I have neither been taking in excess food at a fast pace in solitude nor grazing past discomfort instead of a meal). Implied: I haven't beat the beast yet, because PMS is ahead again monthly, but I'm not allowing double-mindedness.
