Fortunately, there are ways to address high blood pressure. The use of prescription medications can help lower blood pressure. However,there are also lifestyle changes that can be made that will significantly improve blood pressure without the use of medications. Changes that can be made include therapeutic carbohydrate restriction, exercise, and intermittent fasting. As blood pressure rises above a systolic blood pressure of 140, the cardiovascular risks substantially increase.
