A new NSV (non scale victory) for me yesterday. My oven was way overdue for a good cleaning. Part of the reason I had been avoiding it was that it requires a lot of bending over which normally gives my back grief. To my suprise that didn't happen! I credit that to learning and executing proper technique when doing squats and similar exercises. With guidance from my fitness instructor and my chiropractor I have learned how to do a hip hinge correctly. This engages the leg muscles to do the work they are meant for instead of using the back muscles that aren't designed to be the powerhouse of lift. I have also been working on my core to support my back. The effort has paid off. 💪
