For me, weight loss and health regain requires a multi factorial approach This is a very good podcast that talks about the mindset of weight loss I like how Lizzie divides the brain into 3 parts: Lizard— primitive, reptilian brain Labrador—emotional, mammalian brain Lemur—cognitive, rational, evolved/prefrontal cortex, primate brain I have found that using the tools to activate my vagal nerve has served me in “calming” my nervous system and not using food to self soothe. She takes a complex subject and breaks it down so that it is easily understood and gives tools on what to do.
