I've gotten to the place where if someone asks me if I'm on a diet, I tell them no. The word diet has morphed into a connotation that often has a negative attachment to it. If they ask me what that entails, I'm more than happy to share how I changed my way of eating. An example is one of my employees who noticed I've lost weight, told me so, and wanted to know what I'm doing. I told her straight up, by cutting carbs and eliminating processed sugar and ultra-processed foods. Eating meat and eggs, limited dairy and fruit. Most people know that the SAD which includes sugar and ultra-processed foods is crap. Most drug addicts and alcoholics I've known over the years also know it's not good for them as well.
