Oct 2, 2025 Sept recap Since Jan, 2024 Weight loss 43.6# (18.3% BW loss) 88 weeks--> 0.49#/week Since Jan, 2025 weight loss 25.6# (11.6 BW loss) 36 weeks--> 0.7#/week Last month weight loss is 5.8# (avg weekly 1.45# ๐Ÿ‘€ continued whoosh???) (This is surprising. The past 2 months have had a weight loss of more than 1#/week.) ๐Ÿ’ฉCode Brown๐Ÿ’ฉ is still in effect. It may be for a very long time. Acuity is much decreased. These habits are doable and sustainable. Life is doing as life does and I am able to pivot ๐Ÿฉฐ and continue the habit goals to ensure my continued health. Pivoting is such a great skill to have. It is good that I am having these challenges, I am honing my pivoting skills!! Milestones during the past month (Sept, 2025) ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ 1) weight is less than 200#. First time since 2018 2) off of 2 BP meds (losarten and amilodopine) Habits to continue (because they are a good fit and enjoyable) 1) Daily mantras: I am a person who does not use food to cope I am a person who is willing to sit with my feelings 2) random body checkins and tools to calm nervous system if activated.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ YAY Vagal nerve and parasympathetic nervous system! 3) movement that I enjoy--gym class is going well, I have increased incline/resisitance on elliptical, have added backward walking on inclined treadmill, and have increased poundage in lifting. Balance is improving 4) daily meal plan--my morning self is taking good care of my evening self by planning 5) low carb/protein forward--I like eating this way. It is easy and doable and ENJOYABLE 6) self development--I like my podcasts, they are helpful 7) connection--coffee with friends, virtual meetings, accountability groups, gym folks--helps me maintain connection that is crucial for me. I learned this during lockdown. 8) continue with slowing down while eating--this is getting easier with practice. 9) continue to celebrate my wins 10) contiue with protocols as needed. They are helpful, doable, and sustainable. Tweak as needed. Questions: Does this taste good enough to be worth the time it will take to lose it? Am I physically hungry?---if not, then ask, "What is it that this food/drink is helping me do? What feeling is this food/drink helping me to avoid or create?". While eating, pause and ask-- "Am I still hungry? Let's stop eating and see what happens.". Statements: I am allowed to feel ____ AND I do not need to fix it.
